Start your day with the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers and listen to a range of traditional spirituals, songs and hymns. If you’re looking to dive into an opera, grab a ticket to Zurich Opera’s fresh take on Verdi’s A Masked Ball.

Discover powerful new vocal works paying tribute to Canada’s Indigenous peoples in a programme full of both protest and celebration in Voices of Canada.

For the String Players 🎻

Discover something new with violinist Vilde Frang and her ensemble of classical and folk musicians in a programme of Hungarian traditional music, including Bartók’s soulful First Violin Sonata and joyous traditional dances. Hear how traditional folk sounds have influenced classical music.

Don’t miss Sounds of Ihsane, where Tunisian viola d’amore player Jasser Haj Youssef performs with a group of musicians from across the Middle East. You can also watch the full dance performance Ihsane, which explores grief and connection through movement and music.

For the Pianists 🎹

Discover the next generation of classical musicians with Gershwin & Bartók. The National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America perform three energetic masterpieces alongside virtuoso pianist Kirill Gerstein.  

Looking for more fantastic piano playing? Don’t miss classical superstar Yuja Wang with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. With Wang and the jazz orchestra’s combined artistry, this Festival exclusive is sure to be an evening of infectious music unlike any other. 

For the Percussionists 🥁

Join the ‘technically impeccable’ Colin Currie Group. They celebrate more than half a century of Steve Reich’s game-changing minimalist music with a genre-defying programme that includes a piece written especially for the group. 

Want to broaden your horizons? Ingoma! A Revolution in Rhythm blends music, dance and theatre to tell the story of the revolutionary Rwandan women’s drumming group who defied expectations and reshaped traditions.

Looking for something a bit different? 💫

Grab a ticket to Mere Mortals, where myth meets tech in a bold spectacle of dance and music by the San Francisco Ballet. With cutting-edge visuals, 40 exceptional dancers on stage, and DJ/composer Floating Points performing his original score live with a full orchestra, this futuristic retelling of Pandora’s Box promises a breathtaking performance. 

For the Film-Music Lovers 🎥

Let the Sinfonia of London draw you into the glitz and glamour of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Experience a glorious journey through the hits of classic Hollywood musicals. 

For the Wind Players 🎺

Experience the world's premiere big band, Jazz at Lincoln Centre playing music by legendary jazz musician Duke Ellington. At The Hub you can catch saxophonist Camilla George perform a hypnotising blend of Afrofuturism, hip hop and jazz. Join brass players from across Scotland for a tribute to the incredible John Wallace. 

Listen Up 👂

YMP gets you up to two free pairs of tickets to a selected programme, however there are plenty other events to get involved in.

Our flagship Art of Listening workshop returns for all the family to enjoy. Led by an opera singer, pianist and facilitator, this interactive event celebrates the power of listening deeply, together.

Join us for a transatlantic celebration of sound at the Family Concert (back due to popular demand!). The LA Phil’s youth orchestra, YOLA, joins with Scotland’s Big Noise and superstar conductor Gustavo Dudamel for a selection of high-spirited classical pieces.
