Family Concert

YOLA & BIG NOISE

Discover the magic of classical music in this joyful concert for children and their grown-ups.

A perfect introduction to the excitement of the concert hall, our Family Concert welcomes children and their grown-ups to hear not one, but two orchestras playing together.

The LA Phil’s youth orchestra, YOLA, joins with Scotland’s Big Noise and superstar conductor Gustavo Dudamel for a selection of high-spirited classical pieces.

Cellist and music educator David Munn welcomes you to the concert, introduces the musicians and  brings you closer to the magic of live music.

This performance is intended for families with young children aged 7–11, but people who will benefit from a relaxed environment are also welcome to attend.

The Big Noise programme is a brilliant example of how access to free music education for children can help to inspire creativity, provide opportunities, and build confidence.

YOLA represents the very best of what music education can offer—discipline, creativity, and a profound sense of belonging. Through this program, young people are not only developing as musicians, but as confident, compassionate individuals who understand the power of their own voices and the strength of their communities.

Camille Delaney-McNeill, Vice President of Learning for the LA Phil
