The Kiwi multi-instrumentalist psych-popper’s Bostyn ’n Dobsyn project comes to Leith Theatre.

The Kiwi multi-instrumentalist psych-popper makes marvellously off-kilter music, blending styles and hypnotic grooves with oddball lyricism. His third studio album Jassbusters saw him backed by a full band for the first time, described by the Quietus as ‘fuller, groovier, twangier… a revelation’. He has toured the world with artists like Charlotte Gainsbourg and Radiohead, and has collaborated with James Blake and MGMT, establishing a reputation as a truly original artist. He now brings his concept project Bostyn ’n Dobsyn project to Leith Theatre. Based on comics and short films Mockasin made as a young boy, Bostyn ’n Dobsyn is about a music teacher, Bostyn, his student Dobsyn, and features music by Bostyn's band (with three other music teachers) called Jassbusters.
