Trusts and Foundations

Ensuring the continued success and growth of the Festival

At the heart of the Edinburgh International Festival is a clear vision: to provide the deepest experience of the highest quality art for the broadest possible audience. The generous support of Trusts and Foundations plays a vital role in helping us realise this ambition—both on the stage and deep within our communities.

From our flagship Art of Listening programme to our co-created partnership with Space@Broomhouse, we are committed to creating a growing impact in the community through the performing arts. Our work brings the magic of live music to young people, healthcare settings, and underrepresented communities—ensuring its impact is felt far beyond the concert hall. Whether it’s improving wellbeing or building stronger community connections, we want the broadest possible audience to experience the energy and thrill of live performance.

On stage, we nurture the next generation of artists by offering career-defining opportunities, while our affordability initiatives ensure cost is not a barrier to cultural discovery.

Widening Access

We aim to widen access to the International Festival through specific ticketing initiatives such as the Young Musician's Pass; Accessible Performances for audiences with specific requirements such as BSL, captioned and Audio-Described performances; and programming and marketing initiatives to reach new and under-represented audiences.
