Help us unlock £60,000 in match funding – double your donation today
All donations to the Festival have impact: keeping tickets accessible, inspiring the next generation of audiences and artists, and bringing the world’s greatest artists to Edinburgh each August.
Thanks to an anonymous supporter, all donations given between now and the end of the Festival will be matched up to £60,000. This means your donation will be matched pound for pound at no cost to you, making your donation go even further to help make the performing arts accessible to as many people as possible – in concert halls, schools, and NHS hospitals.
Ticket sales only cover 25% of what it costs to put on the Festival each year – we need your donations to bridge the gap.
Your donation could bring the International Festival to schools, hospitals and community groups.
Everyone should be able to experience the magic of the performing arts. Your support can help us:
- Introduce classical music to thousands of primary school children in our free Art of Listening workshops.
- Present free pop-up concerts in NHS hospitals, schools and community centres.
- Offer touch tours, accessible performances and additional support for D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent audiences.

Your donation could support early-career musicians, dancers and theatre-makers.
With the right support and opportunities, we can nurture the next generation of performers. Your support can help us:
- Programme paid opportunities for early-career artists to appear onstage during the Festival.
- Provide free mentoring by established professional musicians and performers.
- Offer industry contacts and networking opportunities to build their careers.

Your donation could make tickets more affordable to those who need it most.
Cost shouldn’t be a barrier to cultural discovery. Your support can help us provide:
- 10 Give It A Go Tickets for every event in our programme for those who need them
- Free classical concert tickets for young musicians and singers aged 8-18 who live in Scotland
- Free tickets for NHS staff, charity workers and low-income benefit recipients through our partnership with Tickets for Good.

Like many non-profits, The Edinburgh International Festival has partnered with the Chapel & York US Foundation allowing our American donors to make gifts to a registered 501(c)(3) whilst continuing their support of the Festival. If you would like to donate via this method, then please visit our dedicated USA Giving webpage.
