News Story
Every year the Edinburgh International Festival presents a curated programme featuring the finest performers and ensembles from the worlds of dance, opera, music and theatre as Scotland’s capital hosts an unparalleled celebration of the performing arts and becomes an annual meeting point for people of all nations.
We’re looking for a paid, in-house presenter to be the face of the International Festival’s behind-the-scenes content and front our Instagram stories throughout August. The chosen presenter will work throughout the Festival to research and capture in-the-moment content, off-the-cuff artist interviews and the buzz of the Festival and city. If you have a knowledge of classical music as well as a passion for the arts generally, and think you’ve got what it takes, then read on for further instructions on how to apply.
You’ll need to feel comfortable on camera talking to high-profile artists so we’re looking for entrants to send a video demonstrating how you would present. If you haven’t presented before don’t panic! No technical skills are required, and you can record yourself on a video camera or phone. Please create a video no longer than two minutes highlighting your presenting skills and describing why you think you’d be suitable. Feel free to also send us any other previous examples of your work if you have them.
