For three weeks in August, Scotland’s capital becomes an unparalleled celebration of the performing arts and an annual meeting point for people of all nations. The International Festival present a programme featuring finest performers and ensembles from the worlds of dance, opera, music and theatre.

We are building a team to help us deliver this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings some of the most exciting and creative artists working today, to audiences from around the world. Our dedicated, expert crew work across the city’s venues delivering quality production support to our visiting companies, which has become synonymous with the International Festival.

We are keen to hear from highly skilled individuals who have experience of festivals, national and international touring productions, dance, and live music. With extensive knowledge in their field and practical experience of delivering productions. Dynamic problem solvers with great communication skills and ability to contribute effectively to a team. We encourage candidates from broad and diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we would also welcome applications from those with prior knowledge and experience of the Edinburgh International Festival.

Job Specification

The Edinburgh International Festival is welcoming expressions of interest to join our Production Core Crew recruitment pool in all areas of:

Pay Rates
  • Pre-festival weekly rate - £743.81 - £889.73
  • Festival weekly rate - £892.57 - £1,067.67

Rates paid will be dependent on level of experience.

The festival runs for three weeks in August (7th – 30th August 2026) the festival would expect all individuals to commit to being available throughout this period as well as a week either side for build and break.

Please note that The Edinburgh International Festival will only recruit for our seasonal production roles from the pool. If your skills and experience meet our requirements, candidates will be contacted regarding available opportunities for the Edinburgh International Festival 2026. This will be on a rolling basis at our earliest opportunity.
