In this Hub concert, Roby Lakatos and his ensemble stir up a musical storm. Famed for his improvisations and fast-paced violin flair, Lakatos effortlessly switches genres – from classical to Hungarian folk and klezmer, taking the audience on an exciting musical rollercoaster.

Born into a family of Romani violinists and descended from the Hungarian Romani composer János Bihari, Lakatos combines age-old traditions with a modern twist. Previously supported professionally by Yehudi Menuhin, Roby Lakatos is a violin virtuoso who stylistically knows no bounds – combining classical music with jazz, Balkan and Orthodox Jewish music and Hungarian Romani music.
