The Hub Access Shuttle

The page contains information about our Access Shuttle, a bus service improving access to The Hub for evening performances.

Due to road closures preventing drop offs in cars or taxis, at this year’s Festival we are offering an Access Shuttle bus service to The Hub for evening performances. The Access Shuttle is for anybody who may face difficulties as a pedestrian, in navigating the hills and/or crowds they will encounter on their way to The Hub for evening events.

The Access Shuttle is free but must be booked in advance of the performance. You can book it online when booking for evening performances at The Hub, or by contacting our box office on 0131 473 2000

The Access Shuttle will run between the bottom of Johnstone Terrace and The Hub. The exact location of the bus stop will be identified once you have booked.

Departure times will vary for each event but the Access Shuttle will arrive about an hour before the start time of an event, with the return journey departing about 30 minutes after an event.

The Access Shuttle has space for nine seated passengers and two wheelchair users. For wheelchair users, the bus has a rear mounted lift with a weight limit of 400kg. Companions may be allowed to ride on the Access Shuttle but due to the limited spaces priority will be given to those who require it.

Two wheelchairs provided by The Hub are available to use on request.

Please arrive promptly as it will not be possible to conduct secondary shuttle runs if you have missed a scheduled departure time.

The service is only available for events beginning at 4pm or later, as earlier events are not affected by the road closures.

The Access Shuttle is provided by Blue Bus Scotland

This is a pilot year for the Access Shuttle, if you have any thoughts about how the service could be improved please email [email protected]
