Twenty years, one lasting legacy.
What started as a way to commemorate the closing of our 2006 Festival turned into two decades of expressions, marking each year with a unique bottling from Springbank.
Fast forward to today and we are delighted to mark one of our longest standing partnerships, we unveil The Springbank Library. Nestled in our newly renovated Dunard Cocktail Library, we have recreated every bottle from our shared past to create a lasting archive of our collaboration.
With a rich history dating back to the early 1800s, Springbank carry a legacy of preserving culture, honouring the landscape and bringing Scotland to the world – much like the Festival. Today, Springbank whisky is still loved and sought after around the globe and this global ambition, paired with a desire to preserve Scotland's history is just one of the reasons we partner with Springbank.
The spirit of the Edinburgh International Festival is rooted in collaboration; with our artists, our audiences and our partners. Over the last two decades, Springbank have created a bottle to mark the unique spirit of each Festival, a gift for artists and guests to take back to their homes around the world. A huge part of our shared story is thanks to Hedley G Wright, a passionate advocate of the arts and former chairmen of the Springbank board. Having passed away in 2022, his legacy lives on as we continue to produce these bottles together.
