The Berliner Philharmoniker is arguably the greatest orchestra in the world.

The Philharmoniker returns to the Festival for the first time in 20 years for a two-concert residency at the Usher Hall. Players from the orchestra also perform an intimate recital to close our Queen’s Hall series.  

Joined by their inimitable Chief Conductor Kirill Petrenko, the Berliner Philharmoniker’s players are renowned for their tone quality and remarkable cohesion, creating 'uncannily evocative atmospheres' (The New York Times) in their showstopping concerts.
