Up Late with Mark O’Connor & Gustavo Dudamel

Discover a surprise lineup of musicians from across the Festival, led by string virtuoso Mark O’Connor and superstar conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

Multi-Grammy Award-winning string virtuoso Mark O’Connor curates this evening of world-class performances of North and South American music. O'Connor is joined by a lineup of musicians from across the International Festival programme, as well as special guest, classical superstar Gustavo Dudamel.

Dudamel joins this late-night musical celebration just after conducting three concerts with the LA Phil as part of their International Festival residency, in his final year as their Music Director. O’Connor's appearance follows his concert with his partner, violinist Maggie O'Connor.

This spontaneous, eclectic evening is inspired by the popularity of our First Night at The Hub series, which has been bringing together world-class musicians since the start of Nicola Benedetti’s tenure as Festival Director.
