AT HOME: Edinburgh is a Story – Full Film

Discover Edinburgh through the eyes of our artists in this film showcasing poetry, music and dance performances in iconic locations.

We commissioned Glasgow-based production company Forest of Black to produce five short films in unique Edinburgh locations, each creating an intimate portrait of an artist featured in the 2022 Festival programme. This film is the culmination of the project, with the five performances stitched together to form a rich tapestry of the city. From poetry and pliés to didgeridoos and dramatic vistas across Edinburgh, see the city in a new light through these performances.

Edinburgh is a Story is part of our At Home series in partnership with abrdn. Find out more about At Home.

We rely on your support to help us bring art to everyone. From free digital programmes showcasing world-class artists, to community learning and engagement, we want to encourage everyone to participate in the arts throughout the year. Find out more about how you can support our year-round work.
