Healing Arts Scotland - Creative Minds: Mindful Art for Young People at the Portrait
Unleash your inner artist and embark on a journey of self-discovery through self-portraits!
Join artist Bea Makan and associate artist Khadea Santi for an inspiring 45-minute workshop titled "Creative Wellbeing."
This unique session invites young people to creatively express their past, present, and future selves through the timeless art of self-portraiture. Discover the power of self-portraits as a window to mindfulness. In this workshop, we will explore the past Self: Reflect on your wellbeing and the experiences that have shaped you.
Present Self: Capture your current identity, emotions, and aspirations and Future Self: Envision and illustrate your dreams and future possibilities. Enhance your creative skills and artistic confidence while gaining a deeper understanding of yourself through the creative process. Connect with peers in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Transform your perspective and celebrate your uniqueness in this empowering workshop. We will be using a mix of 2D art materials such as pencils, pens, and chalk for some on-paper sketching. We look forward to seeing the incredible self-portraits you'll create!
This event will begin with a tour in the gallery with Poppy Richards, artist educator.
