Mogwai
Scotland's own Mogwai return to the International Festival for two special concerts as part of Light on the Shore with Edinburgh Gin Seaside at Leith Theatre.
Glasgow’s mighty post-rock turned arena-rock gods celebrated the twentieth anniversary of their debut album Mogwai Young Team last year, just as they were putting out album number nine, Every Country’s Sun. The Guardian said it was, “brilliant music to navigate life's chaos”, while Loud & Quiet piled on more praise for their highest charting album so far, calling it, “the sound of a band renewed and a personality reasserted”. After a busy summer spent performing at Primavera, Roskilde and Latitude festivals among others, Mogwai round up their worldwide tour with two special Scottish performances of their trademark skyscaping grandeur on consecutive nights at Leith Theatre.
