Up Late with Gnoss

Experience the livewire instrumental skills and evocative songwriting of one of Scotland’s fastest-rising contemporary folk bands.

Gnoss’s sound, woven from guitar, fiddle, flute, bodhrán and vocals, is ‘a rich tapestry of acoustic layers and textures, mixing outstanding musicianship with captivating original songs’ (Irish News). Three times Scots Trad Music Award nominees, they have gone from strength to strength over the course of three albums.

Their most recent release, 2023’s Stretching Skyward, affirmed their traditional roots and the Orkney origins of the band’s two founding members, while incorporating electronic elements and a twist of Americana.

As their tours and festival appearances take them increasingly further afield, this is a great opportunity to catch them close to home.
