RÓIS

RÓIS brings her experimental sound to The Hub, blending folk music, ancient Irish rituals and addictive electronic beats.

RÓIS (pronounced RAW-sh) is an experimental folk composer, vocalist and electronic artist from County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. With moments that call to mind Clannad in a pagan ritual with Kate Bush, her 2024 album Mo Léan explored death, life and grieving; in particular, the pre-Christian Irish tradition of keening, where women wailed laments beside the coffin after a death.

Last year RÓIS released the electro party banger ‘Did Ye Ever Get The Ride At The Wake House?’, her glorious, irreverent spin on Irish traditions, and a collaboration with Irish producer Rob Mulhern, aka hhh.

From winning Album of the Year and Live Act of The Year at last year’s Northern Irish Music Prize to the RTÉ Folk Awards naming her Best Emerging Artist and earning a 2025 Choice Music Prize Irish Artist of the Year nomination, RÓIS is a rapidly rising force to watch.
