Back due to popular demand, this special interactive introduction to classical music is for children and their grown-ups. Join conductor Greg Lawson, known for his adventurous approach to music, and presenter Lucy Drever, a passionate musical storyteller, as they team up with NYO2’s inspiring young musicians for a transatlantic celebration of sound. Featuring music from Encanto, West Side Story, Star Wars and more!
As part of their International Festival Residency, NYO2 brings together talented 14 to 17-year-old musicians from a wide range of backgrounds, offering fresh energy and new perspectives on orchestral music. In this family-friendly concert, they set sail on a musical journey where Scottish traditions meet the sounds of America. Along the way, you’ll get to know the musicians and discover fun facts about classical music that your child will love.
Recommended for age 7-11 but suitable for all ages. All adults must be accompanied by a responsible child!
