In Penthesilea’s UK Premiere, discover how Internationaal Theater Amsterdam and director Eline Arbo defy traditional staging by fusing Greek tragedy and 80’s rock concert.

Heinrich von Kleist’s original novel tells the story of Penthesilea, Queen of the Amazons, who falls in love with the Greek commander Achilles during a Trojan War battle.
