How to book

The 2019 International Festival will run on 2-26 August. The programme will be announced in spring 2019. Sign up to our mailing list at the bottom of this page to be the first to know about our announcements.

All ticket prices will be listed on the individual event pages.

Hub Tickets box office is open Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Online booking
If you have previously purchased tickets for the Edinburgh International Festival or with Hub Tickets you will have an existing account. Please click on My Festival at the top of the site and enter your registered email address when prompted.

Access information

If you are a wheelchair user, have mobility difficulties or have visual or hearing impairments you can buy seats/spaces for selected performances in the area of the venue most appropriate to your needs for the lowest (unrestricted view) ticket prices for that performance. Your companion’s ticket will be free.

For more information or to claim an access discount please call the Access line +44 (0)131 473 2056 or email access@eif.co.uk. To enable us to determine your requirements and assist you fully we are unable to offer this service online.

Ticket collection 

Tickets can be sent as an e-ticket, collected from Hub Tickets (address above) in advance or picked up at the venue from one hour before the start of the performance. 

A transaction fee of £1 per ticket, up to a maximum of £5, will be added to all bookings. If you choose to receive your tickets in the post, you will be charged £1 for postage.

Ticket exchanges and refunds  

Once booked, tickets cannot be returned. Tickets may be exchanged (minus a £1 exchange fee per ticket). This will not be possible within 48 hours of the event. Safety and Security

Arrive at venues in plenty of time as latecomers may not be admitted.

Your safety and security at International Festival events is of the utmost importance to us. Please note that bags may be subject to security searches and you should not bring bags larger than 30cm x 30cm x 15cm to our venues. No larger bags (or similar) will be allowed into the venue. There is no cloakroom to store belongings.
