Christine Brewer | Roger Vignoles

Includes Lieder by Schubert, Clara Schumann and Strauss, and a selection of 20th-century American songs

Christine Brewer Soprano
Roger Vignoles Piano

US soprano Christine Brewer is respected worldwide for her powerful performances of Wagner and Strauss yet equally at home in lighter, more popular songs. Her voluptuous voice is matched by her compelling musical personality and her magisterial interpretations.

Brewer has a long-standing musical partnership with renowned pianist Roger Vignoles, whose stylish playing brings together an orchestral palette of colours with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the song repertoire.

Together, they perform Romantic Lieder by Schubert, Clara Schumann and Strauss, as well as a selection of Brewer’s favourite American songs.

This concert will be broadcast on Friday 28 August on BBC Radio 3
