The Edinburgh Playhouse is the largest theatre in Scotland, seating up to 3056 people.

Getting there

  • Pay and display parking on Picardy Place and Union Place 
  • Q-Park: Omni Centre (9 disabled bays)

  • Level access to Circle and Circle Bar 
  • No level access to Stalls or Balcony 
  • Wheelchair spaces in the rear of the Circle 
  • Accessible toilet is located in the Circle Bar 
  • Infa-red system in the auditorium, headsets available from venue staff  
  • Box Office has a low counter and no loop system 
  • Assistance dogs are welcome and can be looked after by venue staff

Safety and security

Arrive at venues in plenty of time as latecomers may not be admitted.

Your safety and security at International Festival events is of the utmost importance to us. Please note that bags may be subject to security searches and you should not bring bags larger than 30cm x 30cm x 15cm to our venues. No larger bags (or similar) will be allowed into the venue. There is no cloakroom to store belongings.
