Director of Audiences

The Edinburgh International Festival is seeking an exceptional individual to join us as Director of Audiences. This newly configured role, responsible for Marketing, Communications, Ticketing and CRM and Learning and Engagement, will lead and oversee the growth of engagement across all aspects of our work.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will create and deliver commercially ambitious strategies across marketing, audience, content, digital and communications to drive revenue, increase reach and enhance the Festival’s reputation. 2022 will mark our 75th anniversary and we will also welcome a new Festival Director: it is an exciting time to join and help us succeed in our mission.

Candidates will bring strategic marketing experience and a track record of driving sales, setting targets and the creation and implementation of successful marketing campaigns. They will also need to demonstrate excellent knowledge of audience development and diversification, knowledge of CRM and experience in digital marketing and the creation of content across all digital platforms.
