Members Event: Open Rehearsal with Les Siècles
An exclusive event for members of the Edinburgh International Festival. Members are invited to enjoy a working rehearsal for the trailblazing period orchestra Les Siècles, ahead of their evening concert.
Period orchestra Les Siècles search for new light in Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring and Lili Boulanger’s Faust et Hélène. Les Siècles performs music from across the centuries on instruments appropriate to the time it was written. Founded in 2003 by world-renowned conductor François-Xavier Roth, the orchestra is a trailblazer in historical performance from the 19th and 20th centuries, shining a searching new light on music both much loved and unfamiliar. Roth has directed the orchestra at concerts and festivals all over the world, where it’s been hailed for its strongly individual playing and its vivid sonic flavours.
International Festival Members are invited to enjoy a working rehearsal with the orchestra, ahead of their evening concert.

All ticket prices are inclusive of fees. In line with our commitment to environmental sustainability, we would encourage you to opt for electronic tickets. On purchasing your ticket your name will be placed on a guest list.

Your safety

Ticket exchanges & refunds
If you or anyone in your household has had any recent COVID-19 symptoms, please stay at home for everyone’s safety. If you are unable to attend any event at the 2022 Edinburgh International Festival for any reason related to COVID-19, we will refund the full cost of the ticket to the lead booker. Refunds must be requested at least 24 hours in advance of the performance.
