Top 10 tips for the programme launch

It's not long now until we share our 70th anniversary programme with you. All will be revealed on Wednesday 15 March. Before then, here's a list of the top tips for getting ready for launch day, bookings opening and beyond.

Before the programme launch

  • Get priority booking
Become a Friend of the International Festival and be the first in line to get tickets for your favourite artists. That’s not all – we have more special treats for our Friends.
  • Check your login details on our website
Don’t worry if you don’t remember you password, it’s really easy to recover it. Or if you haven’t booked with us before, set up a new account. If you're having any problems with it, our friends at Hub Tickets will be able to help ( or 0131 473 2000).
  • Clear your calendar for 4-28 August
Make sure there is nothing in the way of building your perfect schedule. Fitting in all the shows is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle sometimes, but it’s part of that special International Festival experience.

The programme launch and beyond

  • Pick up your brochure
Collect it from The Hub and other arts and culture venues in Edinburgh. You can also download it from our website (thank you for helping us be a greener organisation!). You can sign up and have the brochure delivered to your doorstep.
  • Take time to explore the programme
Make a nice cup of tea, exactly how you like it. As soon as we launch, we will share lots of awe-inspiring photos, videos and articles to give you a taste of what you may expect. Keep an eye on this website for all those things in one place.
  • Try something new
Be adventurous! Take a leap into something different and open up your mind to new experiences. Use Inspire Me tool and let us help you find something you might have not considered before.
  • Have fun reshuffling your calendar
The good tip is to always start with one-night-only shows and fit multiple performance events around them. We want to keep you busy, but don’t forget about making space for some rest time in between the shows. You can use our handy diary.
  • Don’t delay booking your must-see shows
Some of them sell out quickly. Choose a booking method that is the most convenient for you: online, over the phone on 0131 473 2000 or in person in Hub Tickets.
  • Keep in touch
Sign up to the newsletter to be the first to receive our news, exciting announcements and original content featuring your favourite artists.
  • Never get bored
Yes, there are 142 days between the programme launch and the start of the International Festival, but we have plenty in store to keep you excited every single day. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get to know the artists, access behind-the-scenes stories, and simply have a chat using #EdintFest.
