Photo Gallery | Art of Listening

The International Festival’s flagship Art of Listening educational programme has been operating in Edinburgh’s primary schools for nearly 20 years to develop young people’s listening skills through classical music.

At the workshops, after listening to a small recital the Primary 7 pupils are asked to draw their responses to experiencing the performance. The way music affects personal inner world is different for everyone and it’s reflected in our gallery of ultimate “selfie” drawings. Expect to see colourful explosions, rainy landscapes, fairy wings, waves, flames, and more…
