The Dean Gallery

The Dean Gallery is north west of Edinburgh city centre, approximately 10 minutes walk from Haymarket Train Station. There is free parking for gallery visitors. The Gallery can also be reached by Lothian Buses number 13, which drops off outside the grounds.

Parking:

  • There are four disabled parking bays available in the car park, immediately outside the accessible entrance to the gallery.
  • There is a ramped entrance to the gallery which is at the rear of the building. It is easily reachable from the car park.

Access:

  • Wheelchair access to the Gallery itself is from the car park at the rear entrance. Near this entrance is a specially adapted toilet and lift. All parts of the building are accessible by wheelchair.
  • There is lift access to all levels of the gallery.
  • A hearing Loop system available in the shop and café.
  • Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome.
  • A fully accessible unisex toilet is available on the ground floor.
  • Staff are available to assist. All staff receive disability awareness training.
  • Fully accessible catering facilities in the café / bar.
