Online Release of Tickets For Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert

Light the virtual blue touch paper - tickets for the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert, the spectacular finale to the Edinburgh International Festival are going on sale online.

An allocation of one of the summer’s hottest tickets will be released for sale via the Edinburgh International Festival website www.eif.co.uk/bankofscotlandfireworksconcert from 11.00am on Monday 21 July.The Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert takes place in Princes Street Gardens on Sunday 31 August at 9.00pm and sees a fantastic evening of central European folk dance music performed live by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra to a breathtaking choreographed firework display against the backdrop of Edinburgh’s historic castle. This year’s Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert display, created by international fireworks artists Wilf Scott and Keith Webb of Pyrovision, includes more than 100,000 fireworks, four tonnes of explosives, and hundreds of firing sequences including the famous waterfall cascading from Edinburgh Castle.Acclaimed firebrand Romanian conductor Nicolae Moldoveanu leads the Scottish Chamber Orchestra in an exuberant programme of music for Hungarian Dances by Dvořák and Slavonic Dances by Brahms.  Each customer can buy up to four Princes Street Gardens tickets via www.eif.co.uk/bankofscotlandfireworksconcert on Monday 21 July from 11.00am. Tickets cost £10 each. The first allocation of tickets for the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert were snapped up in a postal ballot which closed in May. The final allocation of tickets goes on sale on Sunday 24 August at 10.00am only from the counter at The Hub, Castlehill, Edinburgh, EH1 2NE.
