Festival 08 has seen the Festival take its biggest box office in one day. The first day of public booking saw the Festival take more than quarter of a million pounds and contributed to the Festival reaching its first £1m in record time.

 

Though sales are going very well there are still opportunities to see most of the performances in this year's programme. However, if you are hoping to catch the following please try to book your tickets soon:

 

Göthenburg Symphony Orchestra, Israel in Egypt, The Monteverdi Choir and Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, Gabriela Montero, Susan Bullock and Malcolm Martineau, Fazil Say, Jerusalem Quartet, Beaux Arts Trio, Roby Lakatos and Ensemble.

 

Fast movers in opera, theatre and dance include The Two Widows, Król Roger, The Enchanted Wanderer, Matthew Bourne’s Dorian Gray, Giselle, The Tell-Tale Heart, National Theatre of Scotland’s 365 and Heiner Goebbels’ I went to the house but did not enter.
