Your favourite spot
Everyone has their favourite place to watch the Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert. Whether you watch them from your bedroom window with the radio on or on top of Arthur's Seat with friends we'd love to hear from you. Email us at fireworks@eif.co.uk and tell us what your favourite spot is and share your experience.
HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF OUR FAVOURITES SO FAR:
"My favourite Fireworks spot from the last few years is on Ferry Road beside St Serf's Church. The local churches have a BBQ where you can get hot dogs and hot drinks."
"I have to say, after many years changing locations to soak in this wonderful event, I have came to the conclusion that Castle Street, at the bottom end near Princes Street - is BY FAR the best location to see, hear and smell the show. You can hear the orchestra playing in the bandstand - which is also covered by speakers playing into Princes Street. Also the trees planted in Princes Street Gardens, right at the bottom of Castle Street, doesn’t have any trees obscuring the view of any of the fireworks, including the waterfall. Most of all - in this location (and including standing in the Gardens) you FEEL the explosions going off - the vibrations belting right through your body from your toes to the tip of your head. I’ve viewed this event religiously for the past 30 years and now wouldn’t consider any other viewing point other than the bottom of Castle Street."
