Bring the family
Take advantage of our specially dedicated Bank of Scotland Family Viewing Area in Inverleith Park, ideal for the wee ones. A great alternative to the gardens, you'll have one of the most impressive views of the Edinburgh skyline and the stunning illuminations. Bring along a picnic and soak up the atmosphere.
The entertainment starts at 7pm, is all completely free and you don't need a ticket. What's more, with a giant screen relaying the Scottish Chamber Orchestra's performance live from 9pm, you won't miss a thing!
Safety first
We make public safety one of our top priorities and ask that you do not bring glass or bottles to the event. Please also follow the safety advice given by police officers and stewards.
Plan your evening
To allow members of the public to congregate and view in safety, certain roads will have to be closed. These are likely to be Princes Street, Hanover Street, Frederick Street and Castle Street (between their junctions with Princes Street and George Street), The Mound (from Princes Street to its junction with Market Street) and other surrounding streets.
