Welcome to the Bank of Scotland Connecting to Music website.
Connecting to Music is a holistic, interdisciplinary education project devised and delivered by the Edinburgh International Festival. It introduces children and adults to creative ways of listening to music, particularly classical music. This site is primarily aimed at teachers who may wish to use Connecting to Music in their classroom, but we hope that it will be of interest to anyone pursuing ideas about music and art in general.

Bank of Scotland has supported the Edinburgh International Festival for sixty years. Our unique partnership has developed throughout this time, underpinning the Bank’s commitment to the Scottish community and increasing access to the arts for all.
In 2004 the Bank of Scotland Connecting to Music programme was launched by the Festival’s education team. Its aim – to cultivate the imagination of the child by introducing them to creative ways of listening to classical music.
Now in its fourth year Bank of Scotland has helped the programme reach over 4,000 school children throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians, Glasgow and the Islands.
