Welcome to the Edinburgh International Festival
The Festival welcomes all visitors to its events. With this in mind we make every effort to ensure that the programme is accessible to the whole community.
Many of the performances are sign language interpreted, audio described, supertitled or offer touch tours prior to the performance. Our venue access guide has details of physical access to all of our venues and of hearing enhancement systems.
The Festival publishes an Access Guide and both this guide and the Festival brochure are available in CD, tape, large print and Braille formats on request, please phone 0131 473 2089 or email access@eif.co.uk.
Festival guides will be available when the 2010 Festival programme is released.
Access Requirements
To help make booking your Festival tickets as simple as possible we ask customers who have specific access requirements to give us a bit more information. By including more details about your individual needs on your customer record we can tell at a glance which seats to suggest. All you need to do is fill out an Access Requirements form. These are available here or by emailing the box office at access@eif.co.uk. Once you have completed the form simply email it to access@eif.co.uk or send to:

On receipt of your form we will add the details to your record. If you would like any further information about the Access Requirements form or require some assistance filling out the form then please call 0131 473 2089 or get in contact using one of the methods above.
Hearing Enhancement Systems
Infra-red systems use invisible infra-red light to carry sound to receivers worn by listeners. The venue access guide includes information on induction loops and infra-red systems available at our venues. If you would like more information about hearing enhancement systems at any of our venues, please get in touch.
